Once you have created your character, the first thing you'll see would be this:

1. HP (Health points) - This is your life, when this reaches zero your character will die and lose some EXP points. So keep an eye on this when levelling!
2. MP (Mana points) - This serves as your power, you need these to use your skills. When this reaches zero, you won't be able to cast your skills.
3. EXP Bar - When you do quests, or kill mobs, this bar increases by percent. Once it reaches 100% you gain a level. This means you get stronger, and you also get one stat point and skill points. This records your accumulative game time and the number of mobs you have killed.
4. Map - This shows your current location and the NPCs around you. You can expand it by clicking the 'W' key.
5. Chat Box - This is where you can see other people's messages, guild / party / family messages are also shown here. You can also talk to other players using the chat box.
6. Hotkey Slot - This is where you place your skills, emoticons, commands or anything so that you can easily access them. By clicking on the plus (+) icon, you can also add another hotkey tab. account.

But first off, it looks like Rien wants to talk with you (NPCs with blue exclamation point above their heads means they have an available quest for you)

Now that you have accepted her request, you can recall the things she wants you to do by checking your Quest tab (Quest tab can be accessed by pressing the 'Q' key.)

1. This is where you'll be able to see all the quests you have taken.
2. This area is where all the quest item goes, so it doesn't up inventory space.
3. This is the detail of the quest that is chosen, it tells you who to talk to, what to kill and/or where to go.

The reward is also shown. The amount of gold you'll get, EXP points and/or items.

It is written here now, that you need to defeat 10 slimes and 8 fungus pawns! So let's go explore a bit and find these mobs to be able to finish this quest Rien has given.

This is what it looks like outside of the gate of Alker. And as you can see they have been infested by slimes. Let's go defeat some!

When you see this, it means that you have gained a level! Congratulations, you will be rewarded with one stat point and some skill points to learn skills. Let's head back to the gate of Alker for a bit.

Loots, btw, are automatically picked up. They go straight to your inventory so you won't have to worry about looters :)

Now that you have gained a level, how do you distribute stat points and learn new skills?

Clicking on the 'Learn skill' button will open up the Skill training tab!

1. This are all the available skills you are able to learn at your current level and class.

   You can see the details of the skill you have chosen, it is shown here the required Skill points
   and gold you need to learn the skill.

2. When you have met the requirements of the skill, click this button to acquire the skill!

By pressing 'C' you can access the Character Information screen, this shows all the details of your character. This is also where you can add stat points whenever you gain a level. One stat point is rewarded per level, you can also get a brief description of what the stat does by putting your mouse cursor over it.

After you have decided on which stat point to increases, click the plus (+) icon besides it. Be careful though, you are not allowed to get back the stat point you have already spent!

They can all be accessed through the Skill tab (shortcut key is 'S')

Let's first talk about Upgrading; Upgrading is when you add gemstones to your equipment to get bonus effects. Here is an example, I'm putting opal gemstones into my Bone Armor:

Now I'm going to put the gemstones into the slot.

Click on 'Strengthen'

And you have successfully upgraded your armor!

Enchanting is improving equipment by using scrolls
Click on the 'Enchant' button, put in your armor into the slot, after the enchant scroll

Click on 'Enchant'. Now you have a +1 Bone armor!

And the one you will be using the most is Compound. This is done by combining things to create something better.

So if example you have an Iron nugget, open up the compound command which can be accessed through the 'S' key.

Drag the item into the slot, notice that it will show a lot of available items that you can compound.

Clicking on one of them will show the details of that specific item, it will also show the materials you need in order to successfully compound the item. This is a very useful skill in order to free up some inventory space of your character, and to further enhance the equipment of your character.
